1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you create an account, you are asked to affirmatively agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. Once you do, we collect the following information as you use 2K Goat:

• →Account Information: Email address, username, and position (PG, SG, SF, PF, C) you provide during registration.
• →Game Statistics: Stats submitted via screenshot uploads including points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, field goal data, and matchup points.
• →Screenshots: Post-game screenshots you upload are stored in a private cloud storage bucket, used solely for stat extraction and duplicate/fraud review, and are not publicly accessible — only you and platform admins reviewing a flagged submission can view them.
• →Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
• →IP Address: Temporarily recorded when you upload a screenshot, solely to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse of our OCR system.
• →Usage Data: Basic usage information such as login times and feature interactions.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

• → To operate and maintain the 2K Goat platform and leaderboards
• → To process your game stat submissions and update leaderboard rankings
• → To send award notifications and platform updates via email
• → To process subscription payments through Stripe
• → To detect and prevent duplicate submissions and fraudulent activity
• → To improve the platform based on usage patterns

3. INFORMATION SHARING

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• →Public Leaderboards: Your username, position, and game statistics are displayed publicly on leaderboards and the Hall of Fame.
• →Service Providers: We use Supabase (database/auth), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), OpenAI (screenshot OCR), Vercel (hosting), Google (optional "Sign in with Google" authentication), and FormSubmit (delivers messages sent through our contact form to our inbox). Each processes data only as needed to provide their service.
• →Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

4. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies restricting each user to their own data. Screenshots are stored in a private storage bucket that is not publicly readable; access is limited to the uploading user and to admins reviewing a flagged submission, via short-lived signed links generated on demand. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.

While we take security seriously, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

• →Access: You can view all your submitted game data on your profile page.
• →Deletion: You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Account Settings page, or by contacting us.
• →Correction: Contact us if you believe any of your data is inaccurate.
• →Opt-out: You may opt out of non-essential emails by contacting us directly.

6. COOKIES

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your login session and remember your preferences. These are essential for the platform to function. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

2K Goat is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of 2K Goat after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
